Rain sensor replacement

After 4.5 years use my original mechanism started sticking in the tipped position . No amout of cleanind seemed to remedy this. The replacement sensor works perfectly.

Replacement rain gauge for Davis Vantage Vue

The replacement does record rain, unlike the one it replaced, but it consistently under records compared to an independent rain gauge and other nearby Davis instruments

Replacement rain guage

This replacement does not work, I have contacted the supplier to look into this. At the moment I can't say anything positive about it as it does not record the rain fall each day. It would be useful to have a troubleshooting guide supplied with it to give help if the gauge does not work., and what to do if does not record the rainfall

Rain sensor replacement

My rain sensor was registering around half the amount of rain recorded on a standard rain gauge. It seemed to work when we had a downpour but not in light rain. I purchased this direct replacement and fitted it. Since then, the reading has matched exactly with the conventional rain gauge. 100% satisfied.

Good service but this wasn't the problem

My rain measuring in my Vantage Vue stopped recording so thinking it was the mechanism I ordered a replacement. This arrived as arranged and was fully satisfactory. However it didn't solve the problem - The Weather Shop were very helpful and diagnosed that it was a problem with the transmitter which has now been solved (by purchasing a complete new unit) and I was provided with a refund (less £5 postal charge) for the rain mechanism.
