I had a problem with the rain sensing on my Vantage View. The Tune Up Kit was recommended and solved the problem. Using it also provided the opportunity to give it a good clean.
In addition, having been having problems with birds landing on it, I installed small stainless steel rods to prevent this happening, an it appears to have worked.
The modification can be seen in the attached picture.
May be worth Davis producing an retrofit item to achieve the same.

What would be helpful is some instructions both for the items in the kit and to avoid uploading erroneous data to WeatherLink.

Very good piece of kit. Fitting required the weather station to be dismantled but this is no bad thing because it enabled a thorough cleaning inside. A very straightforward process to dismantle, fit the new parts and reassemble. Everything is working very well.

My rainfall measurements had got very unreliable with some rain not being measured at all. The Tune Up kit solved this and more besides. The anemometer is turning far easier and tge complete strip down cleaned out numerous bugs and spiders that had got very comfortable in there. Well worth the money.

When the new part arrived it was apparent that the reason the original spoon was malfunctioning was that the counterbalance weight was missing. How this happened I have no idea. I fed this information back to you but you have not responded.

Obtained this kit after advise from Weathershop my Vue was damaged in the storm. Wasn’t fit all parts and up and running straight away
