Replacement temperature sensor that "worked as soon as batteries went in." Customers said setup is easy and range is good. However, multiple shoppers reported water damage issues, noting the sensor is not watertight. Some mentioned needing shelter or covers for outdoor use. One customer noted possible accuracy concerns (reading 1 degree low). Price considered high by some.

Make them watertight

This was purchased to replace the original which was water damaged. I covered it with rubberised tape but some rain got in and it stopped working. The new one is again covered in tape and will sit under a cover in a sheltered part of the garden. Fingers crossed but I would like to see them maufactured watertight.

Temperature Sensor TX205

Replacement for similar item which stopped working after it became waterlogged. Easy to set up and well tested in this freezing weather. May be reading 1 degree too low. Very please with ordering and delivery service.

Best to put it under a small top cover when outside. It is a pity that no sensors for this model have a visible reading as did my last set-up.
