Customers praised the weather station's "very easy to set up" process and "extremely clear display" showing internal/external temperatures. The "colour changes" feature was loved. However, some noted the outdoor sensor isn't weatherproof and must be placed indoors. One customer mentioned it lacks actual barometric pressure values.

Very useful

I am happy with the weather forecast station. We decided not to get the wifi attachment - May be in the future. The outdoor sensor had to be placed in the detached garage as it is not weatherproof. We have moved this sensor around the house at times to see how the temperature varies - which has been useful. Love the colour changes.

Really useful weather station

One thing missing I did not spot was it gives the rise/fall daily pressure but gives no actual pressure value (not that I can see anyway!). Needs a barometer to go with it !!

Absolutely delighted with my Weather Station!

Absolutely wonderful! Extremely clear display. I had it up and running within about 10 minutes. It was all so easy. Best and clearest display compared to previous products although technology has advanced since my previous purchases.
DELIVERY:
I live in the very North of the Northern Highlands and delivery took less than three working days. Everything was packed very securely & safely to ensure there were no damages.
IN THE BOX:
1. Main Weather Station as shown in picture.
2 & 3. Mains power cable which has a two pin fitting and included is a specially designed adaptor (black) to change this to three pins which provides a very secure fit (far better than having a two pin & having to use the normal adaptors which I find ugly and easily come loose).
4. Sensor which records temperature & humidity levels. This particular sensor states that it records temperatures ranging from minus 39.9 C to 59 C. This is particularly important in this area as the temperature here goes down to minus twelve almost every year, minus seventeen sometimes and below minus twenty during the coldest years.
5. Batteries AA - 2 for sensor included.
(I used 4 because I put two in the main unit which are only used to back up basic settings in case of a power failure. You do NEED to run this unit from the mains supply as even with batteries the screen goes black as the batteries are only used to ensure very basic settings are stored.)
SET UP:
Just insert two AA batteries in main unit (required ONLY to store settings in event of power cut.) &
two AA batteries in the included sensor. Make sure you put the batteries in the correct way. Keep everything together while you allow the signals to connect. This happened within a few minutes. You can force a search if necessary.
DISPLAY:
All the important things are displayed so no need to fiddle around to press buttons. On display are: inside temperature & humidity; outside temperature & humidity (with the sensor included in this package); day displayed using the standard 2 letters eg. TH for Thursday; time displayed; air pressure trend over previous 12 hours; weather forecast icons show what the weather is expected to do eg. get worse or improve - sunny, cloudy with sunny intervals, or rainy; AND also on display are the maximum & minimum temperatures (I think this is since start up but can definitely be manually reset whenever you choose. I prefer it this way so I can easily see the highest & lowest temperatures for the whole winter. Some other units have introduced a 24 hour automatic reset which I definitely did not want.
EASE OF USE:
These two items were extremely easy to set up. I am disabled with very weak hands & fingers and everything was very simple. Also I am on oxygen so my brain isn't always working fully but there was nothing complex to understand at all. This product comes with all the instructions needed to operate this Weather Station and the outdoor sensor. The print is small but if you look under the product on this web site and click on "Resources" you can download a PDF copy which you should be able to enlarge to suit your eyes on your Smartphone or on your computer. However, it was all so easy I didn't even need to look up anything to get the products up & running.
ADVICE:
I would recommend not altering the default settings until it has been up and running for 24 hours. The time is currently one hour ahead but I intend to leave it until tomorrow in case it automatically corrects itself. If it doesn't it is extremely simple to correct the time by going into the time settings on the main unit. I will update this tomorrow. There is also the option to set the time manually if you choose. Personally I would rather use the settings to make a one hour adjustment so that I don't have to mess around every time the clocks change!
OTHER:
1. It runs on wireless transmission 868 MHz.
2. The usual options are available such as choice of Centigrade or Fahrenheit, 12 hour or 24 hour time settings.
3. Barometric readings seem to be only available in "hPa".
4. The screen display brightness can be adjusted. There are three settings - D1 = strong, D2 = middle brightness & D3 for weak.
5. Screen colours - see "Favourite features".
FAVOURITE FEATURES:
1. So very easy to set up.
2. Brilliant clear display.
3. All important readings are shown on the display without needing to press buttons.
4. By purchasing item MA10001 OR MA10012 or search for "Mobile Alerts Internet Gateway" most of the readings can be sent to your Smartphone including historic readings of temperature & humidity levels.
5. AND I LOVE the COLOURS! The display can be set to a choice of 22 different colours or can be set to scroll through all the different colours. LEAVE IN THE DEFAULT colour setting and the display colour changes according to the current temperature! This is a great feature. From very hot to below freezing the colours change through orange, red, yellow, light green, dark green, turquoise, light blue, dark blue, purp...
