As always, easy replacement of Davis hardware

It looks like at least the humidity sensor on the board deteriorates over time, immediately after installing the readings wee much more in line with the official weatherstation just over 6 km away. It is so fast to replace that I did get some data for that particular 5 minute period...

Davis Temp Humid replacement

Temperature/Humidity replacement delivered quickly. Now working fine again. Hint: if you need to do this in situ then tape the white plastic wind deflectors with tape before removing the rain gauge and top white deflector. Saves a lot of hassle trying to get holes in correct alignment for the bolts that hold the rain gauge to fit again!

Product works fine but difficult to fit

The unit is working well but fitting it is difficult because of very small screws. Also reconstructing the protector plates was not easy. Solved the problem by taping lower plates together so they could be fitted as one. It would not be easy to do the refit off a high ladder.

Part arrived as described. Easy to fit and now I have again got external temp and humidity readings. It's great to be able to buy spare parts when needed.

Replacement Temp/RH sensor for Davis Vantage Pro ISS

Excellent customer service. The replacement board arrived quickly and was easy to install. The station was back up and running within minutes!

Easy swap but don't seem to last long

This was a direct replacement for a failed humidity sensor. These are easy to fit, about 10 minutes to swap the old with the new and tie the cable. The only problem is that they don't seem to last very long, the board I have just replaced lasted about 18 months.

Unreliable and expensive

I'm about to make my 2nd replacement of this component. Expensive, with a relatively short life, surely Davis could come up with a better design that gives an average life of greater than 3 years?
