Explanation :
Battery powered with a 3.6m cable for the temperature sensor so the transmitter can be located out of harms way. If the temperature sensor is for air temperature then consideration should be given to screening it from solar or reflected radiation.
The data is viewed on a Davis Vantage Pro2 Console or Envoy or Envoy8X and within WeatherLink.
